We are proud to announce the arrival of MoreVRP version 5

Rumors have been running through the grapevine, and now we are happy to announce that the next generation of database APM is here. Up to this day we have provided users worldwide with the stability and performance optimization through virtual resource partitioning. We combined this unique feature with analysis tools that allow drill downs to provide overviews of database historical performance and comparisons. The success of our latest module introduced in v4, the variance module, has shown that there is a need for deeper drill down capabilities. So today we are happy to announce that MoreVRP is answering the challenge by bringing you version 5 and introducing two brand new modules: Inquire and playback!

Version 5 features a deeper repository and analyses a slew of added data. This is needed in order to support our new modules. It features, upgraded user management control.

Inquire is the ultimate Swiss army knife for any DBA or system analyst that wants to tweak a database performance. On Oracle the AWR portion of the module allows single click AWR report generation based on snapshots selected. In a fraction of time you get a detailed database statistics report, generated and presented to you in an html form for easy sharing

You also have the ability to see locks and blocking locks in real time as they happen. Moreover without leaving the MoreVRP interface you have the power to decide which blocking locks you want to deal with and release them from the actual MoreVRP interface!

Every database is unique and in order to analyze your particular database we know that you have your own set of parameters you would like to inspect in order to view correlations that ultimately affect the overall performance of your database! The Statistics analysis portion of the Inquire module lets you set a series of parameters over a period of time in order to understand the effects and relations of several variables on your database performance. This module takes drill downs to a new level and turns it into an art form. You can superimpose block changes, applied rollback changes, network activity, parsing statistics, number logons, user rollback and many more to detect patterns and anomalies within your databases.

All this is pretty cool right! And now to one more thing… The Playback module. You sit down and see that at 3 am last night something happened and affected the overall performance of your database. On one hand you wish you could have seen what was going on, on the other hand you can't stay up 24/7. Well now you don't have to be! Our Playback module will take you back in time and see though the actual dashboard what was running and how at any given time! You can even treat the viewed transaction as if it were live and create tuning task, rules and more! Need to see it once more? Just pause drag the time cursor back and see it again!
